Skulls and Supernatural Characters
Always related to horror is the fear of necromancy, devils, and demons seep into all cultures to some degree. Bones and skulls bring on the fear of death and destruction, and the image of the devil takes many forms, but in general they are all evil.
For example, the slush molded latex mask made for ‘An American Werewolf in London’ by Rick Baker in 1981, shows a Nazi demon with the detailed of the sculpture to demonstrate the decay the mask was suppose to convey.
