Morphing is undoubtedly a very powerful effect which is becoming even more popular nowadays. It is a technique that started with a simple cross-dissolve transition and has come to a point now where advanced effects are created and fantastic solutions are approached. 

Sometimes using more than one technique might not work visually well. However, morphing seems to be a method that can be combined and work well. This ability captured my interest and therefore I decided to look into morph from the view of combining 3D transformations with 2D morph. 

This project looks at object metamorphosis and transformation. My aim is to grasp the basics of morphing, as well as explain the terms which are connected to the subject. I then continue by looking into object transformations effects, and how these can be combined with morphing. I have looked at this topic from both a practical and theoretical perspective. Initially, I looked at successful advertisements and music videos that have used morphing. I then interviewed the ‘key’ people that were behind these effects. Finally, I explored my personal approach to the subject by creating a small concept video, and describing my experience with morphing and transformation.
